Loan watch: Denayer enjoys rare Black Cats win

With many of the major European leagues at the business end of the campaigns, here’s news on 15 of our loan stars from the weekend…

Starting off with Jason Denayer who played the full 90 minutes of Sunderland's 2-0 win at Hull City.

The Belgian's loan spell with the Black Cats is almost up for the season but he will have enjoyed the victory on Humberside, even though David Moyes' side have already been demoted.

Aaron Mooy couldn't help Huddersfield Town out of their recent dip - with just one win in five games, the Terriers go into the play-offs in poor form and the 3-0 home loss to Cardiff City will have done little for the West Yorkshire side's confidence.

Mooy played the full 90 minutes but the hosts had 10 men for the majority of the game and were well beaten by the Bluebirds.

AARON MOOY: Will hope to inspire Terriers in play-off games against Sheffield Wednesday

Over in Holland’s Jupiler League, Manu Garcia and James Horsfield helped NAC Breda clinch the three points they needed to qualify for a play-off spot, though it was Thomas Agyepong who had the greatest impact, scoring his second goal of the campaign to put NAC on the way to a 2-0 win over Almere City.

Ash Smith-Brown was an unused sub.

Oleksandr Zinchenko remained on the bench as PSV struck a blow to Ajax's hopes in the Eredivisie title race. PSV's 1-0 home win means Feyenoord, who were also beaten, need to win their final game to seal the championship.

Enes Unal, Bersant Celina and Yaw Yeboah all played in FC Twente's 1-0 defeat to Sparta Rotterdam.

Unal and Celina played the whole game while Yeboah was an 82nd-minute substitute.

In Scotland, Billy O’Brien’s St Mirren escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth, drawing 1-1 with champions Hibs in front of a crowd of nearly 20,000.

Backed by 1,800 fans, the visitors claimed the point they needed on the hour-mark and so avoid a relegation  play-off.

Over in Italy, Joe Hart’s Torino secured an impressive 1-1 draw with champions-elect Juventus.

Down to 10 men, Torino led until the 91st-minute when Gonzalo Higuain levelled with his 24th of the season.

Bruno Zuculini's Hellas Verona closed in on promotion to Serie A after a 2-1 win at Virtus Entella and two more wins will guarantee promotion, though Bruno wasn't in the 18-man matchday squad.

Eliaquim Mangala's Valencia thrashed relegated Osasuna 4-1 to consolidate their lower mid-table position and Mangala played the full game.

In the Segunda, Angelino played 62 minutes of Mallorca's dramatic 1-0 win over Elche increasing their hopes of survival, though they will realistically need to win at least three of their remaining five games.
